Kestrel Veterinary Hospital is proud to be a neighborhood veterinary practice that is woman-owned, founded by Dr. Kayla Hough (pronounced "HUFF"), DVM. Our entire team is passionate about providing exceptional care for the pets of Edmonds, WA because this is our home, too. Having grown up in the area, Dr. Hough envisioned a practice that combined her love for animals with her commitment to making a difference in her community. As someone deeply aware of the challenges within the veterinary profession, she founded this practice with a mission to create a positive, nurturing environment for both clients and staff. By prioritizing mental health and well-being, she ensures her team thrives while making a meaningful difference for pets and their families. Dr. Hough practiced veterinary medicine in the Greater Seattle area since graduating in October 2018, and after a few years of practicing at local clinics and providing needed relief coverage to local hospitals, she made the exciting decision to open Kestrel Veterinary Hospital
