Valleywide Veterinary Services

Providing medical and surgical services to food animals in Addison and Northern Rutland counties since 1995. Valleywide Veterinary Services (VVS) is one of the oldest dairy and food animal veterinary practices in Vermont. The practice is a full service food-animal practice; although their focus is on the many dairy cattle farms in Addison county, they also provide services to sheep and goat owners. The practice offers reproductive ultrasonography and the development of herd synchronization plans. Additional services include a milk quality lab with aerobic and mycoplasma culturing, embryo transfer, and the development of treatment and vaccination protocols. Records analysis and Spanish/English employee training and translating are also available. Over 100 years of combined experience, embryro transfer services, retail livestock supplies, milk quality support, dairy production and management consulting

Originally, it was called Cornwall Large Animal Clinic, and was founded by Mike Wood and Bob Taylor. It became Valleywide Veterinary Services in 1995, partnered by four veterinarians, Mike Wood, Bob Taylor, Jack Bouffard, and Drexel Wheeler. Today, Valleywide has four full time veterinarians: Drs. Rockwell, Martens, Bandoski, and Cijka. Dr. Dave Rockwell has been with Valleywide since moving to Vermont in 2002 and is currently the sole owner at the practice. Dr. Glen Cousineau joined Valleywide Veterinary Services fresh out of vet school in 1990 and became a partner with the clinic; he retired at the end of 2023, but still does relief work with the practice
