Indian River Veterinary Hospital is a full-service small animal medical office offering examinations for wellness or illness, vaccination and preventative-care services, diagnostic testing, surgery and dentistry. Our doctors typically see patients by appointment, although same-day urgent care is available on a case-by-case basis. Located in Virginia Beach, Virginia since 1982, IRVH is proud to be an independently owned veterinary hospital. Our facility is equipped with in-house laboratory, x-ray and pharmacy providing you with a comprehensive one site choice for your pet's medical care. Indian River Veterinary Hospital is an established veterinary clinic located in Virginia Beach. We serve the Tidewater Area providing Medical, Surgical, and Dental care for dogs, cats and small mammals

Indian River Veterinary Clinic was opened in 1982 by Dr. Glenn Butcher. Along with Highlands Pet Clinic and River Shores Animal Hospital, it was one of only three veterinary facilities providing service to the Norfolk Highlands, Sherry Park, College Park and Woodstock communities. Of the aforementioned three, it is the only one to have remained, providing continuous operation at the original location. In 2013, after 31 years of practice, Dr. Butcher retired. Dr. Teresa Bracy took over the practice and it was renamed Indian River Veterinary Hospital. The name was changed to reflect a wider scope in the services we now provide
