Broad Run Veterinary Service, Inc. is a full-service, mobile equine practice with a home office in Bluemont, Virginia. We provide health care and dental services in Loudoun, Clarke, Fauquier, and Fairfax Counties in Northern Virginia, as well as in nearby areas of West Virginia and Maryland. We are proud of our 35+ years of providing a friendly, personal touch to our clients for their on-site equine veterinary needs. We offer both routine and advanced services, including lameness, purchase exams, vaccinations, dentistry, performance and sport horse medicine, internal medicine consultations, Eastern and Western medicines and procedures, acupuncture and chiropractic treatments, and emergency care. Broad Run Veterinary Service was established in 1986 by Dr. Lani Newcomb and Dr. Kathy Broaddus to provide high quality, progressive health care, combined with the best client service possible. Our doctors have a personal understanding of the various equestrian disciplines, with a background of horse shoeing, foxhunting, endurance riding, eventing, and showing. A strong emphasis on client education and follow-up communication, combined with advanced diagnostic equipment and a well-versed and caring support staff allow us to more fully assist our clients and their horses. While our doctors have lived in Loudoun County since opening their practice in 1986, we moved our main office to Bluemont in June 2007 and have greatly enjoyed the area and the people. Our office is on the ground floor of a beautiful 1800s building, while the third story has a conference room for educational uses and other meetings
