RVH was established/built in June 1987 by Dr Casey Risinger and his father, Dr M.L. Risinger. The practice has grown and been remodeled to maintain the best facility to provide comprehensive, high-quality veterinary care to animals both large and small. Dr. Casey Risinger grew up following his veterinarian father, Dr. M.L. Risinger, at his vet clinic in Kaufman and later in a mobile large animal practice in the Terrell area. Dr. Casey graduated from Terrell High School then attended Texas A&M University, graduating from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. After practicing in Vernon for 1 year, he moved back to Terrell and opened Risinger Veterinary Hospital in June 1987. He and his father practiced together until Dr. M.L. Risinger passed away in 2003
