The Barnwell Veterinary Clinic was originally a part time clinic and was located on Franklin Street. When it was opened in its present location by Dr. Charlie Timmerman in January 1990, Renee McHenry began working there while in college. Dr. Mary Ann Wenck later became the owner, keeping Renee as an employee and, in 1998, sold Renee the clinic. It has been owned and managed by Renee since that time

Mission — Our goal is to give our clients the same level of compassion, courtesy and professionalism that we would provide to our family and friends. Our clients are the heart of our practice, and we will strive to help them have a long, healthy relationship with their four-legged family members. We understand that many of our patients are apprehensive and frightened; we try to work with the animals to make their visit as stress free as possible. Believing in this mission statement is what has allowed us the privilege of serving Barnwell County for the past 20 years
