Dr. Jim Shields attended Pennsylvania State University to study dairy management, then continued on to the University of Pennsylvania for veterinary school. He graduated in 1968 and launched his career in private practice. Brookville Veterinary Hospital moved from its initial location (an upstairs sunporch!) to a renovated former restaurant in 1973, and the current facility was built in 2006. Dr. Shields and his team have been serving the area’s pets and animal parents ever since
