Shipman Animal Hospital was established in 1985 by Dr. Jim Shipman, who cared for generations of families and their pets, shaping the hospital around values of compassion, integrity, and exceptional client service. In 2023, Katie Shipman Alcorn and her husband, Steve Alcorn, assumed ownership of Shipman Animal Hospital, continuing the family legacy while leading the practice into its next chapter. Amie Johnson, who joined the team in 2000 as a veterinary assistant, became a partner in 2023. Although veterinary medicine has evolved over the years, the practice remains committed to preserving the personalized care and relationships that have defined the hospital for more than four decades
