Veterinary Acupunture

Veterinary Acupuncture is based on traditional principals of Oriental Medicine, often used in conjunction with herbal medicine, moxibustion, electroacupuncture or laser acupuncture. Health is the balance of the physical, emotional and mental well-being and not just an absence of illness. According to the principle of Oriental Medicine, acupuncture does not treat "a disease", but the patient's imbalance, that is the cause of many diseases, therefore, acupuncture can be helpful in almost any "dis-eased" state, by helping the organism to re-establish health. Regular acupuncture treatments can assist maintaining the animal healthy and possibly preventing the onset of disease by recognizing subtle tendencies within the organ system that might cause future imbalances. Veterinary acupuncture is already an established modality in equine sports medicine and rehabilitation as well as in small animal practices
