Pioneer Animal Clinic in Scottsbluff, Nebraska is a full-service companion animal hospital. It is our commitment to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime. We offer a variety of emergency and routine livestock services for cattle and horses, as well as small ruminants

Dr. Dale Kurtz was born and raised in Dillon, Montana. He attended Montana State University and went on to continue his education at Colorado State University where he graduated with his undergrad and doctorate in veterinary medicine in 1972. Dr. Kurtz's first position was at an equine practice in Connecticut. In 1976, Dr. Kurtz and Dr. Arden Wohlers purchased Pioneer Animal Clinic, and he maintained his share in the practice until 2016. He is recently retired and no longer seeing patients, though he can still be seen around the clinic consulting on cases from time to time. Dr. Joel Robbins became a partner of Pioneer Animal Clinic in 2012. Dr. Jayla Hall worked at Pioneer Animal Clinic as an assistant during her summer breaks throughout her undergraduate studies and veterinary school; she joined Pioneer Animal Clinic as an Associate Veterinarian in June of 2018 and joined the ownership team in 2023
