At Mid Michigan Veterinary Surgical Referral Center, our mission is to provide outstanding surgical care to improve the quality of your pet's life at an affordable price. While there are a wide array of advanced veterinary surgical options for your pet, we understand these options can feel confusing, overwhelming, and cost-prohibitive. We strive to help guide you through your options, answer your questions, and help you feel confident about the best decision for your pet. We aim to work as a team with your regular veterinarian in order to provide the most outstanding, complete, and compassionate care for your pet. Our surgeons at MMVSRC are able to offer a wide variety of surgical procedures for your pet. We offer many orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries including, but not limited to: cranial cruciate ligament repair (ACL repair using MRIT or TightRope), luxating patella correction (slipped kneecaps), fracture repair (broken bones), amputations, correction/treatment of hip dysplasia or hip luxation (reduction using Toggle Pin or repair using FHO), anal gland removal (for chronic anal gland infections or tumors), vertical ear canal ablation (for chronic ear infections, tumors, or painful ears), and many more

MMVSRC was founded in 2008 by Dr. Craig Hook. During his 30 years in general practice, he developed an intense passion and skill for difficult surgical procedures. As surgical options became more advanced, however, Dr. Hook recognized an urgent need for affordable options for surgical excellence, as many surgeries were becoming cost-prohibitive for his clients. He decided to sell his general practice and focus exclusively on advanced surgical procedures. It didn't take long for Dr. Hook's outstanding surgical skills and bedside manner to grow MMVSRC into a busy clinic. Word of mouth quickly spread and clients even travel from out of state to visit MMVSRC. As the surgical center grew, so did our staff. In an effort to provide the most accessible, comprehensive, and quality surgical care available, MMVSRC welcomed Dr. Kendra Creighton in 2015. This expansion enabled us to shorten your pet's surgical wait time and to offer an even wider array of surgical procedures. Together, Dr. Hook and Dr. Creighton have performed hundreds of surgeries and positively affected the lives of their beloved canine and feline patients
