Welcome to Mountain River Veterinary Hospital, your Veterinarian in Rigby, ID. We treat every pet like family, because that's how they're loved at home. We have three very seasoned veterinarians who have been in practice for many years. Throughout their careers, they have developed unique skills to aid in the types of services we offer here at Mountain River Veterinary Hospital. We offer laparoscopic spays on dogs and cats, which has allowed clients to get their pets spayed with 70-80% less pain post surgery. We also offer orthopedic surgery services, including rehabilitation and hyperbaric oxygen treatments. We now have our own in-house hyperbaric oxygen treatment room. We also practice equine reproduction work which includes, artificially inseminating mares, assisting foaling mares, and ultra-sounds for pregnancies and breeding soundness exams. We have a boarding facility at our clinic and have kennels available to accommodate even the largest of dog breeds

Dr. George Olaveson grew up in Rigby with a large family and a large number of animals, where he developed an interest in veterinary medicine. After schooling at Idaho State University and Washington State University he began practice in 1993. In 2005 he saw the completion of Mountain River Veterinary Hospital and has enjoyed nearly everyday there. Dr. Garth Waddoups graduated from Washington State University in 1990.
