UGA Pet Health Center: A Stanton Spectrum of Care Clinic

Welcome to the UGA Pet Health Center, a Stanton Spectrum of Care Clinic, a small animal veterinary practice in Athens, Georgia. Conveniently located on the University of Georgia's main campus, our clinic provides routine and preventive veterinary care for cats and dogs. From puppy visits to senior wellness, our team is dedicated to offering compassionate care through every stage of your pet's life. The UGA Pet Health Center provides routine and preventative care for dogs and cats for every stage of their lives, as well as caring for them when ill or injured. Whether it's puppy vaccines or senior wellness, our doctors, technicians, and students will help build a treatment plan that fits you and your pet's needs. The Pet Health Center offers in-house radiology, laboratory, surgery, dental, and pharmacy services, and more!

As part of the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM), the Pet Health Center is dedicated to serving our community while advancing the field of veterinary medicine. Conveniently located on UGA's South campus, our team of dedicated veterinary professionals provides a wide range of services – including annual wellness exams, vaccinations, dentistry, routine surgeries, and more. The Pet Health Center is designed to function like a typical veterinary clinic—offering full-service care with transparent, competitive pricing. As we're part of the College of Veterinary Medicine, your visit will include interactions with veterinary students who are gaining hands-on experience, but rest assured: all care is overseen by experienced, licensed veterinarians. Thanks to a $5.2 million grant from the Stanton Foundation, the UGA Pet Health Center was able to almost double in size and add new features such as observational exam rooms and an expanded dentistry suite. Construction is currently underway and once completed, the new facility will expand our capacity for care and allow us to better serve our community

The philosophy of Spectrum of Care is to provide a judgement-free approach to veterinary care, where the client's cultural, physical and socioeconomic circumstances are considered in addition to the patient's medical needs. This initiative helps us train our students to meet our clients where they are at and to truly partner with them to achieve the best possible outcome for their pets
