Dr. Kremerman never originally envisioned herself as a practice owner: "But somewhere along the way, corporate medicine nearly took the joy out of the work I love, and that's when I knew I had to build something different." She says: "Corporate practice brought me to the edge of burnout. I realized I needed to create a place where I could practice medicine the way it deserves to be practiced, without compromising standards, without burning out my team, and without letting down the families who trust us with the creatures they love most." That realization became the seed of Pawpaw Tree Vet: "A place rooted in kindness and integrity. A clinic built on the belief that taking care of my staff well, and taking care of my patients and their families well, are not competing priorities. They are the same priority." Ever since moving to this area in 2018, Dr. Kremerman had a feeling about Ridgefield: "It felt like exactly the kind of small, genuine, community-centered town where a practice like this could take root and mean something. And then, serendipitously, the opportunity appeared. Pieces fell into place." The clinic officially opens Monday, August 17
