We take a traditional approach to service by treating our patients like our pets and our clients like our friends. We are a full service veterinary clinic serving the animal health care and surgical needs of primarily dogs and cats; however, we also offer medical care to rabbits, rats, hamsters, and guinea pigs. From vaccinations to spays and neuters, from teeth cleanings to growth removals, from geriatric exams to new puppy and kitten checks, to x-rays and even ultrasounds... we are here for you. When Dr. Shoolman first opened the doors to Camino Pet Hospital in 1980, much of the surrounding areas were still orange groves. Over the years, he and his staff have witnessed a lot of change but one thing has stayed the same — their dedication to practicing state of the art veterinary medicine with "state of the heart" care. With over 135 years of combined experience, the staff at Camino Pet Hospital is not only passionate about pet health care, they are competent and efficient. Dr. Shoolman opened the doors of Camino Pet Hospital in 1980 and we have several staff members that have been with us since the 1990's!

We are here to provide you with expert advice and to answer your questions anytime, day or night. We feel it is important to educate you, our concerned, compassionate clients. Because our pets cannot be questioned about a suspected illness, we help you to become familiar with many of the common animal medical problems. Since you know your pets best, the more we can help you understand about their health the better.
